As if the Sunshine Coast wasn’t blessed enough with wonderful producers we also have the added bonus of being able to visit some of the most picturesque properties and partake in true ‘paddock to plate’ experiences. Adding to the experience even more is the diversity. We can interact closely with the most curious of emus, cows and goats, then help with the milking and or even get hands on with cheese making. There are a number of Redclaw Crayfish Farms that will take visitors right through to the dining experience as well as a diverse range of growers that eagerly share their knowledge while walking you around their gardens explaining the merits of some of the most unique and interesting plantings you will find on the coast. Last but not least are the strawberry farms that open their gates annually to allow visitors to pick their own punnets of sweet ripening fruit.
